Berlin GAA Joins Irish Embassy Gathering to Boost Cultural and Community Connections

Representatives from Berlin GAA were delighted to attend the Meeting of German‑Irish Cultural Societies, hosted by the Irish Embassy in Berlin late last year.

The event, opened by Ambassador Maeve Collins, brought together Irish organisations from across Germany to discuss the future of our diaspora, community engagement, and cultural collaboration. We had valuable conversations with fellow GAA clubs, Irish cultural organisations, and members of the IBN - Irish Business Network Germany, reinforcing the strong appetite for deeper connection through sport, culture, and community.

Our club also spoke about our hopes to host GAA tournaments in Berlin this year, showcasing how these events serve as important touch points for the Irish community and wider cultural exchange.

A sincere thanks to the Irish Embassy for hosting a thoughtful and inclusive event. We look forward to building on these connections in the months ahead.
